In case you never saw Mean Girls, that's where the blog title comes from: just a deliciously ridiculous line from one of my favorite movies.

The idea of S.U.I.L.T.S.O.Y is pretty simple: real people and real style.

- It's about style stalking on the streets of Seattle (and beyond...)

- It's about clothes and accessories people actually wear (and ideas on how to wear them right).
- And because there's (a little bit) more to life than fashion: random tidbits of the humor and wisdom of others, local happenings, and other miscellaneous fabness.

And myself...

I'm a fashion-obsessed 20-something living in the somewhat sartorially-challenged city of Seattle, Washington. I grew up here with a retail fashion exec mother and a photographer/editor father, so naturally, two of my greatest joys in life are... fashion and photography. I also love to write and have my BA in journalism.

Now, I'm pursuing a life and hopefully a career that incorporates all of my passions. Obviously things are uncertain these days, so just in case my work life veers away from my passions (and because its fun!), I'm blogging the things I love so they never get pushed too far to the side.
